Evelyn Tickle

Evelyn Tickle — GROW Oyster Reefs llc, CEO, Founder, Inventor, has more than 20 years of experience in the concrete fabrication industry. Evelyn has her undergraduate degree in Interior Architecture from Auburn University and her Masters in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, in Los Angeles. She has a specific interest in biomimicry, invented GROW Oyster Reefs’ biophilic concrete mix, and designs the concrete oyster reef restoration products that have established GROW as an internationally recognized leader in the field of coastal resilience. Evelyn is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome, was selected as an MIT Solver 2018, is a RISE Innovation Fellow for 2019 – 21, and was a top-ten finalist for the Biomimicry Institute’s Ray of Hope Prize, 2021, and is a member of the Leadership Team for MIT Solve’s Resilient Ecosystem Challenge.

The Underwater Museum of Art is a permanent sculpture park located in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico off Grayton Beach State Park, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The museum’s exhibits lie within a mile of the shore at a depth of ~58 feet.
