Nathan Hoffman

Nathan Hoffman’s art is deeply rooted in a profound admiration for nature. His work channels the raw, untamed energy of landscapes, drawing inspiration from the intricate textures, patterns, and vibrant colors found in the natural world. Whether it’s the subtle erosion of rock or the relentless shaping of terrain by water and wind, Nathan’s creative process mirrors the forces of nature—transforming materials through heat, pressure, repetition, and the passage of time.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with an MFA in Expanded Media (2012), Nathan honed his craft building large scale environments. His role as an imagery specialist for BassPro Shops took him across the country—from New York to Alaska—building grand, immersive nature dioramas and broadened his expertise in material construction. Nathan’s journey continued with NatureMaker Inc., where he constructed life-sized artificial trees, and he now lends his talents to The Cosmic Workshop in Springfield, MO. Outside of these roles, Nathan actively pursues public art projects, where his passion for nature and craftsmanship continues to shape his creations.
